The Rule of Sibs: If your sibling gets something you want, you (1) try to take it; (2) break it; or (3) say it’s no good.” ~Patricia Fleming
Sandy of PunkyJane has a brother, Steve, who is four years older than she. According to Sandy, they could really do some fighting – she with words – he with force!
One of the stories she still like to tell, even though Steven’s memory seems to be slightly different, is about the time she taunted him to the point of throwing a roller skate at her. What he didn’t realize was that she had strategically placed herself in front of the huge front window in their house so that skate – you guessed it – shattered the window! Although she concedes that she was a tad bit bratty, she likes to say that she was getting even for him hitting her in the head with a golf club several years earlier:
“Just move back a little more. There. Perfect.” {swing} THUNK! Right into her forehead!
Sandy assures us that she and Steve get along great today, and she often don’t know what she’d do without him, “but those early days had their bumps – literally and figuratively!” Here is a picture of Ali and Frazier before the fighting began. He is about four, and she is about six months old.

If sisters were free to express how they really feel, parents would hear this: “Give me all the attention and all the toys and send Rebecca to live with Grandma.”  ~Linda Sunshine
Lois of foxygknits really never liked the idea of having a baby sister invade her kingdom that she had ruled so magnificently for four glorious years. And she was way too clever to physically harm her sister, as she knew that she would no doubt incur the wrath of her mother. So, while in the pediatrician’s waiting room on a routine trip to get immunization shots, Lois very calmly, yet purposefully, informed her sister that the doctor would be inserting the needle into one arm and pulling it out the other.  Lois learned at an early age that what she found absolutely hilarious was not necessarily amusing to her parental units…
